10.5 Months

My baby is 10.5 months. I have officially had him in my arms longer than in my belly (my biceps are proof of that :) ). I am just amazed at how fast this time goes. I know, I know, this is all very cliché. But REALLY! A few days ago I came across a newborn diaper and I could not  remember what the little moose looked like when he wore those. I mean, really? Did he even wear those?!

Okay, enough gushing. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of doctors appointments and remodeling. I would NOT recommend this combination of events....EVER! Last week, Jackson was finally diagnosed with a double ear infection. The poor baby started out the week before vomitting and running 103 temps. On top of it all he had a cold. We went into the doctor and during that first appointment the on-call dr. said that he was just fine. After we barely made it through the weekend (and remodeling) I decided to take Jack back into the doctor because he was still running a fever and throwing up. This time, the doctor had a list of ailments affecting the poor little lamb:
     1. Intestinal Virus
     2. Cold
     3. Double Ear Infection
and to top it all off...
     4. Teething
Thats right. Jackson's little gums decided now was a great time to cut two new top teeth! Uuhhgg. What a sleepless week. But now, Jackson has been on antibiotics for the ear infection for 8 days and cut 1 of the 2 teeth. He is in MUCH better spirits.

This past weekend my parents came to help Mark and I with our basement. My Mom was able to care for Jackson while I was able to help the fellas (Mark and my Dad) downstairs. It was really nice. We were able to get a ton done. Mark's parents also came on Sunday to help finish off the plumbing and pour the concrete. Perfection......that is, until our crazy cat decided to climb into the window and walk all over our freshly poured concrete! Ha. Oh well, it really didn't ruin anything. I am really excited about how fast things have been going. This next weekend Mark's uncle is coming to help and we are planning on getting the walls up, which will be a really fun transformation. I will post some pictures of all this remodeling stuff soon. For now you will just have to enjoy a few that I snapped of Jackson playing outside yesterday.

Poor little guy, and really, poor you!!! It's a horrible thing when they get sick, and the throwing up--oh, it just rips your heart out. Glad he's feeling better. Can't wait to see pics of the remodeling. You wanna come help us put in our kitchen cabinets:)?!
