Christmas

I am already looking forward to Christmas this year. Jackson is older, and I am sure that he will be able to feel the merriment and joy that surrounds the Christmas season. I mean, don’t get me wrong, eating bows and paper....there is something joyful and special about that too. I just think there will be more to it this year.

This Christmas season Jackson will be 18.5 months. I am assuming he will understand gift-giving a little better, which is fun for most children. I am also assuming he will begin to understand the love and joy of knowing Jesus. It will be special to have him intricately intertwined with all of our family tradition. Cooking breakfast with the boys on Christmas Eve morning, going to church that evening, playing ‘500’ and eating Grandpa Denny’s delicious prime rib. These traditions are what make the Christmas holiday with my family so enjoyable and memorable for me.

This particular Christmas season, we have already gotten Jackson a gift! Can you believe I have been Christmas shopping already? Well, if you know me, then you know I am quite the procrastinator, so this is big. 

However, this Christmas gift was not exactly shopped for. 

No. 

This gift was simply given to us. 

This Christmas season, we (with the help of Jesus) we will be giving Jackson a baby brother or sister! Maybe next year we will just stick with a puppy?!

Meet Baby G. #2. Here, he/she is around 9 weeks. This week, I am finishing up 12 weeks. Officially done with my first trimester! We are expecting to meet this little bundle around December 28th.
