My little fellas

I was reminded by someone last night (ahem , 'dama taffy' aka Grandma Kathy) that I need to rectify Ben's name on my blog. The last post we were having quite a bit of trouble with getting the little man's sleep schedule down, but now, I think we have gotten it figured out (crossing my fingers that mentioning this won't jinx us :) ).
Now the sweet little lamb takes three naps per day. One hour in the morning, 2.5-3 hrs. in the afternoon (the same time Jackson takes his nap!) and then a 45 minute cat nap in the evening. He also now gets his baths in the evening because it helps him stay awake just a little longer...then he eats (which is our struggle at the moment...just trying to get him to stay awake to get a good feeding in) and off to sleepy land by 8:30. He doesn't wake up again until about....6:00! Amazing right?! Yep, I am very happy with this schedule. I feed him, and then put him back to bed to sleep until 8 or 8:30 which is the time I want him to get used to waking up. We are very happy in this house. Now...I just need to work on getting to bed before midnight so that I can take advantage of this extra sleep!

Yet another little fun fact is that we are trying to (half-heartedly) potty train Jackson. I have just recently felt up to giving this a ‘go’. (hehe, pun intended). So far it is working okay, but Jack is really not all that interested. He thinks it is pretty cool to see, dump and flush. However, the times of these actions are few and far between. He also is not really into bribing. Yes, I have been that parent. Toys, gummies, kisses; nothing seems to interest him enough to want to take the time to go use the potty. Last night, however, we may have made a turn. J asked me to change a wet diaper, and later, to go use the potty. Hallelujah! I found myself doing a ‘potty dance’ after and it seems that the little diddy is sticking around our house J So, beware if you come to our home and use the potty, I might just sing you a song when you are finished.
We went to the Zoo last weekend (which is why there is a zebra in the background of the picture with J) so look for a post about our crazy weekend (soon).

Ben is getting so BIG! He seems to have grown in the time since I last saw him just a few weeks ago!! He is stinkin' cute, my goodness.

Berlin was a huge fan of the potty dance, it worked really well for her. Good luck ;)
