PTL!

The last two weekends we have traveled north for various activities. The first weekend was to celebrate our little friend Burkley's first birthday! What a blast! He is stinkin' cute and had an amazing party complete with ice cream buffet! The next weekend Mark participated in a high school alumni basketball game and I had a few photo jobs to take care of. It was a lot of fun to be able to go and work and it was a little different that what I normally take photos of....

Cabinetry! Gorgeous, right?! Yes. Not only was it fun to get to peak inside amazing homes, it now makes me REALLY want new cabinetry in my kitchen! This is the handiwork of a friend from up North. He is currently working on a website and I will link it up as soon as it is ready. He has some mad skills when it comes to wood working!

During this last visit home we all came down with a nasty cold. Coughing, runny noses and low grade fevers. That leaves for some pretty cranky boys! Ugh. When Monday came, I decided to bring Benny in to the doctor just to make sure he didn't have an ear infection and to get his 'wheeze' checked. Turns out his ears were completely clear (probably just plugged due to the cold) but the lungs were a different story. The last three times we have been into the doctors office they have heard a rasp in his lungs. First they thought bronchitis, then decided it was RSV and now are concerned that we are possibly dealing with Asthma. During the visit Ben had a nebulizer treatment and he sounded better. The doctor said that either the wheeze is coming from lingering after-effects of the RSV or we are dealing with Asthma. He feels that after cold/flu season is over we will be able to know more. In other words, if he is still wheezing during the summer then we need to start treating him for asthma. Poor bubby. I am really praying that he clears up soon.
We also went in this week for Ben's post-op visit. He did great and the doctor is really happy with the results (not too mention that we got through without splitting it open this time ;) ) Pathology came back perfectly on the nevus meaning it was clear from any type of cancer. Praise the Lord! Unfortunately, pathology also found that there are still nevi cells present (they weren't all removed during the last surgery) so now we will wait and see if they surface or not. We are scheduled to go in for another consult in 9 months. I am really optimistic that we won't need another surgery.

Here the little bugger is enjoying a snack in the biggest chair dama and papa G. have :)

Jackson and Papa getting ready to go to church. J really insisted that he wear a tie just like papa!

Jackson has been really busy and has sorta reverted back into being a bit of a stinker, so we are all back to figuring out how to get along :)
He really does great when he has very rigid structure. But let me just be honest and say that sometimes I don't want to be that structured!!!! I know we will get through all this.
Last night I found some really sweet videos of him that I will have to post. They really had me just dying of laughter. Writing on the wall with marker, 'singing' to music, dancing...yes, I really need to share them. Speaking of laughing the kid has had so many one-liners lately that have me ending in stitches. I really need to start writing them down immediately because I forget them! bummer.
Oh! Jackson is potty trained! Well...sort of. He is mostly day trained with only a few accidents and next week we will be working on nap time, but seriously....we are doing so much better than a month ago!
Praise the Lord!
